The Avengers – Stay through the Credits

In addition to being a witch (like Samantha from Bewitched), a postal carrier and veterinarian, as a kid I wanted to be Wonder Woman when I grew up. No matter how fast I spun around, I never did change into a red and blue superhero uniform with bullet-repellant gold bangles. Instead, I made myself dizzy enough to fall to the ground in frustration.

Honestly, I’m not a comic book fan but do appreciate the storytelling and escapism which is one of the reasons I saw The Avengers last weekend, the flick based on Marvel comics superheros. Although Wonder Woman doesn’t hang with this group, the movie was pretty good.

The story features the characters of Thor, Iron Man, the Hulk and Captain America. Having only seen the Iron Man franchise of films, I was still able to follow along in this battle of good vs. evil.

Having a Fandango voucher from Norton by Symantec, I opted for the 3-D version  so I ended up paying $2.50 for the upgrade and the Fandango processing fee. I also had a gift card from Christmas which included a free small popcorn with purchase of a small drink so I ended up spending $2.50 out of pocket for a solo trip to the theater. (Whoo-hoo!)

If you’re heading to the theater to see The Avengers, stick around through the credits. Just as with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 movie, there’s another scene you won’t want to miss.

Are you a fan of superhero movies?

Note: Thanks Norton by Symantec  for the free movie pass! I earned it by checking in on Foursquare at their display during the Florida International Air Show in March. See, social media pays again.

  1. I somewhat agree with your opinion. I LOVED The Avengers. Just a very fun and funny movie, filled with oh, so much eye candy. Where did they get so many sexy and svelte people together in one place? Seriously, I would hit every single person in that movie, even the extras. Haha… anyway, nice blog. 🙂
