V is for Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia
Vancouver, British Columbia, is one of the grooviest cities I’ve ever visited. It has a bohemian, creative, chic-vibe similar to San Francisco with a dash more international flavor. Granted, I’m basing this on only visiting twice plus a visit to nearby Victoria, but it’s a destination I hope to visit again.

In a creepy kind of way, the Vancouver Police Museum’s morgue and autopsy facilities are intriguing. This was my first visit to a law enforcement museum and being a fan of shows as CSI and Criminal Minds, I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to visit one.
Built in 1932, the facility originally housed Vancouver’s first Corner’s Court and City Analyst’s Laboratory. It was home to the Coroner’s Courtroom, offices, autopsy facilities and morgue and the facility opened as a museum in 1986.
When I asked if it was haunted, the reply was, “Probably not,” since bodies brought to the facilities were dead which means, any spirits would have exited a body before arriving to the morgue.
Makes sense.

Wow, Friday was something else! I’m here in Vancouver for Travel Blog Exchange (#TBEX) and arrived at my hotel around 1 a.m. Friday morning. This post will be brief but wanted to quickly share three highlights of the day. Each of these warrants their own posts and will be posted soon.
Canoeing
Ten other TBEX attendees and I canoed with Takaya Tours through fjords of Burrard and learned of the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation. Definitely a cultural experience learning about the past, present and future. (Booking Office: 700 Apex Avenue North Vancouver, B.C., Tel: 604-904-7410)
I’ll Be Part of This! World’s Largest Gathering of Travel Bloggers Arrives in Vancouver
Less then 24 hours from now, I’ll be heading off to Vancouver to participate in the third annual Travel Blog Exchange. I’ve been attending since the beginning and my, how it’s grown! It started off with about 100 travel bloggers in one room for most of the day. Last year it grew a bit with more bloggers, more sponsors, and sponsored events.
