Three monks, two Spanish priests and a solo travel girl step onto a trail in Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs…OK, I’m sure you’re expecting some witty punchline but, this is exactly what happened to me last month. I probably spent no more than 2 hours there yet, in that short period of time I was wowed and awed by Mother Nature and God’s work.

I’ve had a few days to reflect on my Travel Blog Exchange 2012 experience in Keystone, Colo. Not only was the professionalism bar raised over last year’s TBEX but so were bars for conference content and functions. Importantly, the conference site location rocked. Almost literally. Sitting at more than 9,000 feet above sea level, we met in the mountains of Keystone Resort which has all the necessary conference amenities.

“Life is good,” I thought while sipping champagne and drifting up Keystone’s North Peak in a gondola. Final destination was Keystone Resort’s The Outpost, which sits at 11,444 feet above sea level, for the opening of TBEX 2012 (Travel Blog Exchange) called “Taste of Vail Resorts.”

“Colorado Rocky Mountain High…” I’ve been singing that little John Denver ditty for the past couple of weeks, once it was determined that yes indeed, I WILL be heading off to the annual Travel Blog Exchange Conference  (TBEX) in Keystone, Colo., June 15 – 17. Woo-hoo!
