Wordless Wednesday: One Gator, Two Gators, Three Gators, Four…Babcock Wilderness Adventures
Earlier this week I was back out at Babcock Wilderness Adventures in Punta Gorda, Florida, for a meeting which included a tour of the working cattle ranch and Telegraph Swamp. I never get tired visiting the place and always spot something new. Having lived more than three years in Everglades National Park, I have a thing for alligators and was shocked at how many I saw during the Babcock trip.

The first weekend of December I joined about a half-dozen amateur photographers walked through the Lemon Bay Conservancy’s Wildflower Preserve for a photography contest which runs through Feb. 15, 2012. This inaugural competition will help document the flora in this new preserve, which was 80-acre Wildflower Golf Club located in Cape Haze, Fla., the western part of Charlotte County. Although I didn’t see wildflowers during this visit (I’ll be making return trips) I snapped these photos during the trip.
