Look Rad-eye-nt with Naturopathica Eye Serum

Naturopathica Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum

I’ve been nonchalant about taking care of my skin but since I turned 40 this year, I know I need a little help in defying Mother Nature. Over the past few years though, I have used eye creams to tighten those little lines and reduce the tired look when I’ve been short on sleep.

Products I have used (Avon’s Mac eye cream and a L’Oreal eye product) have had okay results. Earlier this summer the folks at Naturopathica gave and sent me their Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum and asked me to give it a test drive, especially when I was traveling and sleep was minimal.

Updated Sept. 23, 2010 with a special discount for Solo Travel Girl readers! Read on for details.

Using Naturopathica’s Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum
In case you didn’t know, Naturopathica has a holistic approach to beauty and combines organic and natural ingredients with state-of-the-art skin care technology (they call it Naturoceuticals). Importantly, they don’t use harmful synthetics.

I’ve used the Naturopathica’s Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum for about three months and have to say, I like what it’s been doing. I dab a little bit under each eye in the morning and evening and love the way it feels and smells. It’s very smooth to apply and has a fresh, relaxing scent. Perhaps that’s from the cape chamomile oil in the serum.

After a couple of weeks of application, I noticed how silky soft and smooth the skin beneath my eyes has become. That area also glows a little bit – not a freaky glow but a radiant, happy and healthy glow. I have even received compliments lately about my appearance and have been asked what I am doing to my skin. I think the illusion of brightness is from the mica and silica in the serum to refract light.

And on those days when I traveled and got little sleep (such as my whirlwind trip to TBEX in New York City in June), just a little dab took care of any puffiness beneath my eyes. By looking at me, no one could tell I was running on three hours of sleep a night!

Primary Ingredients in Naturopathica’s Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum
Naturopathica’s Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum works for me and my oily skin type. As mentioned before, it contains cape chamomile oil which is grown in South Africa and has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties (which is why it’s great for tired, puffy eyes). Mica and silica in the serum act as concealers by refracting light for an even skin tone. Can’t forget the vitamin K which reduces skin discolorations.

How to Order Naturopathica’s Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum
So how much does this Vitamin K Brightening Eye Serum cost? Well, I admit it’s out of what I would normally pay for facial products, it’s $72 for .5 oz. To me it seems expensive but considering a little dab goes a long way, I still have a lot of product left, and it’s doing something positive, it’s a decent investment. Be sure to read on for a special discount!
