Fashion at the 2010 Sarasota Film Festival, April 9
The 12th Annual Sarasota Film Festival kicked off tonight and I thought the red carpet was a little lackluster. Actor Kevin Kline, who stars in The Extra Man, which was the event’s opening night film, walked the carpet, arriving in a huge Rolls-Royce around 6:45 p.m., 15 minutes before the screening.

2010 Sarasota Film Festival, April 9 – 18
Last year I had the pleasure of being part of a Twitterering team live Tweeting during the Sarasota Film Festival and think I did a pretty good job in creating buzz. I garnered regional media coverage with a press release I wrote, created the hashtag and had at least a couple dozen followers and festival attendees tweeting with it. The gig was arranged through one of the event sponsors and since that company is not a sponsor this year and the Sarasota Film Festival organizers have not reached out to me, I won’t have the access I did last year.

Yesterday ZeldaMae and I met up at a Barnes & Noble to being itinerary planning for my 40th birthday celebration to Amsterdam, Bruges, and Brussels later this month. We leave in two and a half weeks! Our tickets have been booked – roundtrip to Europe, baby! – so it’s not like this is totally last minute planning.
